Doll Reader Magazine!!
Good news!! My book “Hankie Couture” has been reviewed by Doll Reader Magazine. The full article can be seen in the current June / July 2009 issue. Below is the review:
Whether you love dolls, sewing, fashion, or fabrics, you will be delighted by this charming book! The author, Marsha Greenberg, began sewing her own clothes at age 11 and later owned two clothing businesses. In 2002, she found a trove of vintage handkerchiefs and was inspired to turn them into doll dresses. Four thousand dresses later, there’s no end in sight for Marsha. Although she sells most of the dresses, she’s saved her favorites over the years, and those form the basis of her book, ” Hankie Couture”. Marsha details her own history and then turns the pages over to her specially designed dolls, who model the one-of-a-kind dresses, pajamas, business suits, coats, hats, gabs, umbrellas, and gowns made from vintage hankies. The variety, craftsmanship, colors, and attention to detail on display are stunning! The book also includes a “How To ” section and simple instructions for making your own hankie dress and Marsha’s notes on the styling and inspiration for each dress.
