Haute Hankie Couture for Dolls
Marsha Greenberg brings unprecendented panache and style to the handkerchief in her new book, Hankie Couture. The beautifully designed and illustrated book features Greenberg’s inventive doll fashion designs using nothing more than vintage hankies. Each design is accompanied by a plucky quote that further expounds what “hankiecouture” is all about. In Greenberg’s words, “It’s not just a dress, it’s a lifestyle.”
At the beginning of her book, Greenber’s states, “I have always had a love affair with fabric. As far back as I can remember, I was attracted to patterns and color. Since 2002, I have designed and sewn several thousand one-of-a-kind vintage handkerchief dresses….and I see no end in sight! The passion comes alive every day when I wake up. Sometimes I surprise even myself!”
